A large, Limited Edition Tribute to Her Majesty

A magnificent Steiff bear remembering QUEEN ELIZABETH II.

If you want to look chic and well turned out, pearls are just perfect. Her Majesty had a warm familiar smile and wave, and we have become accustomed to seeing her signature three-strand pearl necklace.

Here we have a very special bear to show our admiration for Her Majesty QUEEN ELIZABETH ll and her superb ‘Dedication to Service’.

This Steiff teddy bear is made from the finest mohair in a very light grey colour and is fully jointed (which means you can move her head, arms and legs).
She has the looks of a true, traditional Steiff classic bear with long arms and paw pads made from felt in a slighter lighter colour.
One leg paw pad has the late QUEENS motif and the other pad paw is a symbol of her head with the dates 1926 -2022.
Her magical face has a hand stitched nose and mouth – just look at the nose and you will see a single thread which has been taken crossway – using a brighter grey thread.
The nose and mouth area has been hand trimmed to give her character.
Bright shiny black eyes just bring her awake seeing the world pass her by.

The QUEEN'S love of pearls began early in her life, thanks to a family tradition which was started by her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, who reigned from 1837 to 1901.
Queen Victoria gave each of her daughters and granddaughters a pearl every year on their birthday so that by the time they came of age at 18, they would have enough pearls for a necklace.
This was continued by The QUEEN'S father, King George V1, who gave Princess Elizabeth a thin platinum chain to which he added two pearls on each birthday.
Queen Elizabeth 11 was rarely not seen wearing them and one could say that her beloved pearls have become as steadfast and familiar as her reign – and part of her Dedication to Service.

QUEEN ELIZABETH 11 wore the pearls nearly every day - just as her mother and grandmother did before her. Should she be at a charity lunch where it would be simply traditional that a lady would wear pearls and the three strand design were part of her family pearls which she wore most often with such respect.

QUEEN and King George V1 were very close and she loved and cherished his gift from father to daughter – from King to Queen
