Now Steiff have designed DR NO - such a special Fleming bear - and available now for all the JAMES BOND followers everywhere.


Steiff JAMES BOND 007 - DR NO - is made from (RMS) mohair - with a viscose plush head.
He is 5-way jointed (which means you can move his head, arms and legs).

He has a smart shaped head with little ears, shiny black eyes and hand stitched deep brown nose and mouth.

Here we have a Steiff bear inspired by the first JAMES BOND movie DR. NO 1962.
His body represents DR NO with stand up collar on the suit and black hand prosthesis.

He has Organic Alcantara paws with embroidery on the left one showing JAMES BOND 007 logo and film name.

"Dr. No," released in 1962 and directed by Terence Young, is the inaugural film in the James Bond series, starring Sean Connery, Ursula Andress, Joseph Wiseman, and Jack Lord. Adapted from Ian Fleming's 1958 novel of the same name by Richard Maibaum, Johanna Harwood, and Berkely Mather, the film was produced by Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli, initiating a partnership that lasted until 1975. Following the success of "Dr. No," the series continued with "From Russia with Love" in 1963.

In the movie, James Bond is dispatched to Jamaica to investigate the disappearance of a fellow British agent. His investigation leads him to the underground base of Dr. Julius No, who plans to disrupt an early American space launch using a radio beam weapon from Cape Canaveral.

Despite being the first Bond novel adapted into a film, "Dr. No" was actually the sixth in Fleming's series, which began with "Casino Royale." The film incorporates elements from earlier and later books in the series, such as the criminal organization SPECTRE, introduced in Fleming's 1961 novel "Thunderball." Made on a modest budget, "Dr. No" was a financial success and, though initially receiving mixed critical reviews, it has since gained recognition as one of the franchise's finest entries. The film also pioneered the spy genre's popularity in the 1960s and was accompanied by a comic book adaptation and soundtrack album as part of its promotional efforts.

"Dr. No" established several enduring elements of the James Bond film series, including the iconic gun barrel opening sequence, Maurice Binder's stylized main title sequences, and the introduction of the famous Bond theme music. Production designer Ken Adam's elaborate visual style in the film set a benchmark for future entries in the series.
