Steiff BARLE 43 PAB 1905 VINTAGE - REPLICA is made from mohair recreated by Steiff Schulte for this special bear.

100 Years ago Richard Steiff the Inventor moved to America on 7th March 1923.
To mark this we have this unique vintage-relic, the likes of which have never been seen before.
“Bärle” from 1905 is the oldest jointed bear that can be found in the Steiff Archives and this REPLICA is a detailed reproduction of the Bärle.
Every little abrasion in the blond mohair, the head tilted to one side over the years, little marks of age on the sole and pads.

He is 5 way jointed (which means you can move his head, arms and legs) and has claws and nose which have been hand-garnished.
His head and limbs are loosely attached to his body and he has special wooden eyes and is hand filled with wood shavings. And has been given a vintage finish all over the body and paws.

All been seen to by the highly trained workers who have been with Steiff for many years learning the ways of this high bear company since the early days - bringing these Vintage REPLICA bears to life again.

He has a protective button - with 'under scored 'F' button in the ear - made of patinated steel.
And a sewn in REPLICA ear tag on side seam.
