Sooty was discovered in Blackpool on July 19th 1948. Harry Corbett was on holiday with his wife Marjorie and children, David and Matthew. While walking on the North Pier Harry spotted a teddy bear puppet in a gift shop. He purchased the little bear for 7s 6d.........and the lives of the Corbet family were about to change forever! Harry introduced his new partner into his amateur magic act. Sooty is holding his famous black and white wand which assisted with the tricks - immortalizing the spell 'Izzy Wizzy let's get busy'! This special teddy bear is made from the finest mohair in a warm golden yellow colour with tan felt paw pads. He has an adorable face with hand embroidered black nose, two tone eyes and cute black ears. Limited edition of just 2,000 pieces for the UK and Ireland.
