Paddington lives in London and originally came from Peru where he was brought up by his Aunty Lucy. He arrived in London on the famous Paddington Station wearing his old red bush hat made of felt and a label round his neck with the words ‘Please Look After This Bear. Thank you’.
Mr and Mrs Brown looked after Paddington and bought him a blue duffle coat with hood and fastened with wooden toggles. He also has a brown suitcase with his initials P.B. written on the side.
Paddington is a lovely bear full of good intentions – although sometimes his trusting nature can often get him into trouble. That is why we all adore him!
Michael Bond wrote his stories of Paddington Bear and the very first book was published in 1958. Since then over thirty-five million copies have sold worldwide and have been translated into over forty different languages.

He is made from the finest chestnut mohair with a white nose and hand embroidered mouth and nose together with sparkling eyes. His suitcase made from synthetic leather comes with a marmalade sandwich made from short plush together with a glass jar filled with ‘marmalade’ which is made from orange wool fibre! His wool coat is removable.
