Steiff Designer's Choice Jackson Teddy Bear is an amazing teddy bear designed by Ulrike Schrem who has been a Steiff Designer since 1996. It is a fully jointed bear with a round tummy and long limbs, black eyes and black hand stitched mouth and nose. He has a very special coat which is made from a unique grey fleece material with spots and splashes of colour - so no two bears are exactly the same. He paws are made from Batik dyed mohair and around his neck he wears a two-layer wool felt scarf in a warm red colour.
Jackson Pollack was an influential American painter and a major figure in abstract movement. He was well known for his unique style drip painting. Steiff have tried to envisage how Jackson Pollok skilfully splashed colour on the canvas that lay on the floor. A delighted Steiff teddy bear and world famous artist brought together.
