Steiff 1906 was a great year for large bears - and this 'TEDDY BEAR REPLICA 1906' measures the impressive size of 50 cm.
A magnificent bear made from the finest mohair in a light brown colour and fully jointed (so you can move his arms, legs and head) - and his paw pads are made from smart beige felt.
All large bears made around this time were filled with 'wood shavings' - as is this beautiful Replica which has to be made by specialist trained workers.
You can see immediately why this bear is so special to our collectors.

A round face with generous snout - mouth and nose carefully hand stitched with a light dusky pink thread. Magically they have joined the embroidery from the nose and mouth together with just a few gentle threads.
The large shiny black eyes are made from wood - just as the bears of 1906.
As a Replica Bear he has a Steiff button in his ear made of a patinated steel.
