Steiff Richard 1905

"From Teddies for tomorrow series"

Richard Steiff invented the teddy bear in 1902, enriching the design year by year until 1905 when he created the 'perfect' teddy bear.

The bear is made in a warm grey colour which Steiff call 'Paloma', with a soft, friendly face and moveable arms, legs and head.

His has shiny black wooden eyes and smartly hand embroidered mouth and nose using shiny black thread.
The material used for his body is viscose (bamboo cellulose) and cotton and he is stuffed with polylactide (maize fibre).

He is wearing the 1897 company logo chest tag.

A classical Steiff bear designed in 1905 and made from materials and stuffing which fitting with life today!
