Steiff Bendi Red Pandi

Bendi Red Pandi is made of luxurious red/brown cuddly soft plush fabric with a back, cheeks, rear head and bushy tail which are also in a ginger colour.
Steiff have made him stable in posture by supporting his front legs in wire.
Panda's ears and cheeks have a beige colour and his paw pads are white and the pads are painted on.
The overall face and head are coloured white and brown where they have used elaborate airbrush applications.
Shiny eyes and gentle hand stitched black mouth and nose finished off this special animal.

Bendi Red Pandi lives mainly in China and some of the neighbouring countries.
As with all endangered species, mankind is responsible for the dwindling population.
The so-called Red Panda is also known as the lesser panda, cat-bear, fox-bear and firefox.
But he is robbed of his habitat and he is also hunted - Bendi Red Panda is a very attractive ambassador but he comes with a warning from his species.

The world is in a state of radical change and the number of species facing extinction is climbing.
With this in mind, Steiff partnered with National Geographic and created a special collection of plush toy animals in support of preserving biodiversity.
